The International Optical Industry Exhibition for China commenced in Shanghai in 1985. The show organizer, the China Optometric & Optical Association, renamed it as China International Optics Fair (CIOF) as of 1997 when it came to its 10th anniversary. Organized by China Optometric & Optical Association (COOA) and China Light Industrial Corporation for Foreign Economic & Technical Cooperation (CLETC), co-organized by Orient International Exhibition Co., Ltd. of Hong Kong, CIOF (China International Optics Fair) 2008, the 19th China International Optics Fair, will be held at the China International Exhibition Centre on September 26th to 28th, 2008.
