From June 16 - 19, 2008, BMC Zhenwei Exhibitions staged the Canton Machine Tool Fair at the China Import and Export Fair (Pazhou) Complex in Guangzhou. The international machine tool exhibition formerly known as GIMT opened the doors to its ninth edition with a new name and a new concept. Focusing on metal cutting and forming machine tools, the Canton Machine Tool Fair provides a communication platform for the manufacturing industries of South China.
On an exhibition area of 6,000 sqm, 275 companies showcased their latest products and technology solutions to a public of 9,800 professional visitors. With manufacturers like GSK, Han''s Laser, and Jinfangyuan CNC Machine Co., Ltd., numerous Chinese market leaders participated in the Canton Machine Tool Fair. Companies such as the Italian FMT Group, the US-based Haas Automation, Inc., Amada from Japan, and the German cutting tools manufacturer Guhring Group represented the international machine tool industry at the fair.

Pazhou Complex has replaced the Liuhua Complex to be the only host venue for the Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair) since the 104th session.
A 450m-long and 30m-wide Pearl Promenade with an 8m elevation runs east-west direction in the exhibition hall. Elevators, escalators, stairs and other 4 vertical transportation facilities enable smooth and easy transport for visitors.
Business centers, service counters, banks, customs, post offices, travel agencies, restaurants and ticket centers are set up along the Promenade.
